Dear Mountain Biker and Trail Runner

We are super excited about this year’s Pennypinchers Greyton Classic Adventure (long) Weekend, powered by Liberty, from 16 – 19 June, which will have a 2-day MTB Stage Race for the 1st time. There is also a 5km Night Fun Run on 16 June, lit up for us by Extreme Lights. The town and community of Greyton can’t wait to welcome you back to a warm winter weekend of country hospitality, fun and family time!

Pre-entries cut-off dates are as follows

  • MTB Stage Race: 8 June (60 & 65 km)
  • 1 Day MTB (65, 30 & 15km) & Trail Run events (21km & 10km): 14 June
  • See for details.

Some things to look forward to at The Greyton Classic

? Entrants to the MTB Stage Race will enjoy complimentary beers, 2 free lunches, a separate hospitality area at The Oaks Estate, dinner with photo/video presentation, and 2 complimentary bike washes

? Great Prizes to be won, thanks to Specialized, Thule Somerset West, Hammer, Dornier, Namgear and so forth!

? Great lucky draw prizes, including a Specialized Pitch or Specialized Jynx, thanks to Helderberg Cycle World. For the Trail Runners there are great prizes too!

Hot showers at The Oaks, thanks to Helderberg Cycle World. Bring your shower goodies and fresh clothes, relax on the lawns of The Oaks Estate afterwards and sample some of the plenty local cuisine, craft beer from Stellenbrau, hamburgers, pancakes etc – too much to mention! Remember to pack clean clothes, a towel and toiletries in a backpack and ride to The Oaks with these goodies, we will keep them safe so you can have a lekker shower and be warm up to Prize Giving

Legendary trails and tracks in the hills around the beautiful Greyton Valley, combined with warm country hospitality and great water points.

? Some of the harder climbs towards the end of the 65mtb route have been taken out this year, and the last few km’s to the finish is going to leave you in a daze of sweet riding pleasure!

? For the middle distance, we have gone back to the 30km route of a couple of years ago that have won us so many accolades. This way the 30km riders will share in the fun that the 65km riders will have!

? The Trail Run start and finish will be from the heart of Greyton Town itself.  The venue in Ds Botha St had the heart of Greyton cooking with enthusiasm last year.

? A big welcome also to Gerald de Kock, who will host the event as our MC and commentator. A TV crew will film the MTB action on 17 and 18 June

? A 1st-ever 2-day kiddies MTB Stage Race (15km each day) on 17 & 18 June

? Plenty art, eateries and coffee shops in the quaint country atmosphere of Greyton

? Yet again, we might just be blessed with superb weather. It has never rained on the Greyton Classic (hold thumbs!)

See you at Greyton!
